IPhone X?

I’m hearing a lot about iPhone X: https://youtu.be/K4wEI5zhHB0.

It’s going to cost $1,000.

Too rich for my blood!

How about you? Will you buy the X?

“Do you have a dog named Rose?”

I was enjoying myself in Seattle yesterday when I got a telephone call.

“Do you have a dog named Rose?”

I took the nice man’s address and called my son. Jay was already on his way to pick up our Rosie.

Rose doesn’t get out often, but it scares us when she does.

I think of all the dogs abandoned and I just want to take them all in, but of course I cannot.

I can just love Rose and help keep her safe and well cared for.

Sunday morning downtown Seattle

It’s a pleasantly cool morning. I woke up with a sore throat, but a hot bubble bath and some Ibuprofen help.

I’m sipping my Cherry Street Coffee House drip, 12 oz., people watching, and counting my blessings.

Seattle at night

I’m having one of my overnight getaways in downtown Seattle. I’m not a great traveler, and I’m no camper! Ha! I like a nice comfy bed and a bath tub!

It’s back home tomorrow, but tonight I’m enjoying the view!

Secrets in Death: An Eve Dallas Novel

Here’s the blurb about the 45th addition to this series:

A new novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series: Lt. Eve Dallas must separate rumors from reality when a woman who traffics in other people’s secrets is silenced.

The chic Manhattan nightspot Du Vin is not the kind of place Eve Dallas would usually patronize, and it’s not the kind of bar where a lot of blood gets spilled. But that’s exactly what happens one cold February evening.

The mortally wounded woman is Larinda Mars, a self-described “social information reporter,” or as most people would call it, a professional gossip. As it turns out, she was keeping the most shocking stories quiet, for profitable use in her side business as a blackmailer. Setting her sights on rich, prominent marks, she’d find out what they most wanted to keep hidden and then bleed them dry. Now someone’s done the same to her, literally—with a knife to the brachial artery.

Eve didn’t like Larinda Mars. But she likes murder even less. To find justice for this victim, she’ll have to plunge into the dirty little secrets of all the people Larinda Mars victimized herself. But along the way, she may be exposed to some information she really didn’t want to know…

And here’s my Goodreads review:

Another “In Death” winner

Secrets in Death is a great addition to the Eve Dallas story. Eve is in rare form as she meets with a colleague for a drink at a swanky bar. And yes, her hunky husband owns the club! As Eve suffers through her social outing, gossip columnist Larinda Mars drops dead in front of her.

This is a great police procedural story with a little romance thrown in for fun. Eve’s whole gang is around to help her out, thank goodness. Mavis and Somerset have minor roles in this book, but I guess I can deal.

Best of all, JD Robb continues to let Eve grow as a character. Eve is still cranky and full of attitude, and I hope this never changes. The relationship between Eve and Peabody is so much fun!

I loved catching up with my favorite fictional characters. I cannot wait for #46! Dark in Death will be published January 30, 2018. And I have my copy preordered.

Hurricane Irma, Category 5, coming to my beloved Florida -Friends, need your Prayers, pretty please.

Your prayers, please, for this blogger and her family. Heck, prayers to
All in the path of this storm!

Plants and Beyond

I love living in Sunny Florida. Really do. But how do I get through this Nature’s fury? Can’t uplift 3 dogs, parents in law and kids. Roads are blocked with escaped families, no air tickets available to fly out, water sold out in stores…….Prayers needed badly to push this beast back to the Atlantic ocean. Wish us luck and safety, please, dear friends. Pretty please.

Under my Mom’s insistence, this is a part of our emergency shopping uplifted to the second floor, just in case of flooding…….Billiard table finally came in handy 🙂

Lots of hugs,

Orange sun in Bellevue, Washington!

Washington State ash

There’s a weird sky this morning:

It’s ash from the wildfires in Cle Elum and Oregon State. The ash looks like snow in some areas. We found this on our porch this morning:

It’s supposed to be 95 degrees F in our area today. Please stay safe, everyone!

But it’s only September!

I know.

But this ceramic pumpkin is too cute.

And it was on sale at Freddy’s.

Labor Day USA 2017
