Okay, so I have blogged about this before, so forgive me for prattling on about what’s next for me.
I’ve worked at a Seattle nonprofit for twelve years, and I could keep working there if I wanted!
I’m grateful to know that I have a job, that I am valued by my employer.
But it’s time for me to move on.
So, my target date is mid July (154 days), and the question before me now is whether to retire or just work someplace else for a few years until I reach retirement age.
If I retire, I will still work part time, but I will take a definite cut in income.
Right now, I’m on a quest, to decide what’s next for me.
I do not want to keep on doing what I’ve been doing–it’s just time for me to ease on down the road from this job.
It’s kind of exciting, but also scary as hell.
In the past, I’ve avoided taking chances because change can be stressful.
But I also know that when I’ve taken chances and stepped into the scary unknown, it’s also been kind of fun.
I’ve grown as a person by stepping away from my comfort zone and taking chances.
So–here I go, stepping off a cliff and hoping to fly!
