Happy Thanksgiving

Many of us will be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday next week.

If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you a wonderful day filled with love. I’ve been reminded by bloggers, in the past, that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving. I realize this, but for me, Thanksgiving is an important holiday. Not because it’s the official start of the Christmas shopping season (I avoid the crowds on Black Friday).

Thanksgiving serves as a reminder to me, to give thanks every day, for everything I’ve been given in life, the good and the bad.

Thanksgiving is a time to share a meal with my family, and spend precious time with them.

Thanksgiving is also a chance for a few extra days off from work, to slow down for a bit and take some time to cuddle up with my Kindle or a good movie.

And Thanksgiving is also a time for me to remember Thanksgivings past, when my parents were alive, and we shared so many special times.

So–if you celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, have a safe and happy holiday.

And if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, may you have a wonderful week!

  3. Dear Beth.. Happy Thanksgiving to you too…I am thankful for a roof over my head even though it is not mine. I find myself this year thankful that my sister took me in. I am so thankful for a bed and some meals. Life is hard but I do know it will get better soon. Hope your holiday is wonderful. πŸ™‚
