Reading for the 4th

I’m going to finish The Moor by Laurie R. King; it’s the fourth book in King’s Mary Russell/ Sherlock Holmes series.

It’s also time for my yearly reading of the short story Silent Snow, Secret Snow by Conrad Aiken. Written in 1934, Silent Snow, Secret Snow is about a young boy who starts daydreaming about snow and retreats into his own world of silent and secret snow.

I’m waiting for two new books:

Sixkill, Robert B. Parker’s last Spenser novel
Mockingjay, the third book in The Hunger Games Trilogy.

And on the 4th, I’m going to a picnic lunch and fireworks with my grandchildren!

Have a Happy 4th of July!
