Wild in my neighborhood today

I was out and about in my neighborhood today, about 1:00p.m, and couldn’t wait to get back to the safety of my apartment.
It was wild out there.
The Seattle Public Library branch in my neighborhood was opening up, after one week of being closed (thanks to budget cuts).
Well, you would have thought that SPL was giving out free loaves of hot bread.
The place was jammed with people, traffic was horrible, drivers were honking at each other, waving their fists and swearing.
Northgate Mall was a madhouse.
I’m sending positive vibes to the library staff, hoping everyone gets a good night’s sleep tonight.
I’m not usually around my neighborhood on weekdays, just when I’m walking home from the transit center, after work. By that time, I’m so tired myself that I’m sure I miss a lot around me 🙂
Anyway, I’m back to work tomorrow, and glad to be going.
It’s been a great vacation, I’m well rested and caught up on my reading.
I will be checking in throughout the week, when I can.
May you all have a great week.
