The week that were
Truth is, I was enjoying myself too much to take the time!
Lazy, I guess.
The apartment was great (as in super duper), but I won’t be ready to move until late July or early August. I’ve got an application, and I will do some more looking before I pick my new home.
So, this has been a pretty good week for me, at work and at leisure.
I succumbed to temptation and bought two books at Barnes & Noble today (Women Who Run With the Wolves, and Anna Karenina), then treated myself to soup and a salad at Red Robin.
There are a few things I noticed about the week that were, and I wanted to share them with you:
–Strunk and White turned 50 this week! I became acquainted with Strunk & White in the 1980s, when I started taking college courses. It’s the first book my son ever stole from me. My favorite Strunk & White-ism is “Omit Needless Words,” of course.
—Susan Boyle is my new hero.
–Please be careful of ads you place on Craigslist. Especially if you are offering personal services.
—Captain Richard Phillips is back home with his family.
–A California Sunday School teacher is accused of raping and murdering her daughter’s friend, then stuffing her body in a suitcase.
Okay, that last link did me in.
That’s all I’ve got for now.
Wherever you are, I hope you are having a good day.
