the long weekend

I was going to sleep in this morning.

So, of course, I was awake before 7:00 a.m.

Ha!

The best laid plans and all that tommyrot.

Here’s my plan for today (I’m taking this 3 day weekend a day at a time):

–Sit in my chair (see it above) and listen to music, read, blog, and nap as needed.
–Take a walk later today (maybe).
–Shower and get dressed (maybe; I took a nice hot shower last night).
–Watch my favorite Disney movie, which is Toy Story.
–Visit blogs, and try to comment.
–Read.
–Listen to as little news as possible. I’ve been limiting my exposure to the nightly news, and find my mood is much better. I’m staying on top of the headlines, but I’m not immersing myself in all of the horrible economic news, disasters, etc.

And that’s it, folks.

As I write this post, I’m enjoying my second cup of Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla coffee. Have you ever tried DD’s coffee? It rocks, big time.

C-ya around the blogs.

  3. Sounds like you have a nice relaxing weekend planned. Enjoy!Thank you for stopping by my post. I’m not a fame of wearing a lot of jewelry. I limit my jewelry to two rings, watch, bracelet and earrings. Once in awhile I add a pin to a blazer lapel. Rarely I wear a necklace.

  11. This talk of donuts is making me hungry. Good idea about restricting the news – it is so depressing and fear inducing. I will try the same.
